Morning Joe Host Confused That Latest Russia Scandal Bombshell Implicates Hillary Clinton Not Trump
Stop me if you’ve heard this before but an MSNBC host called Fox News stupid. This time it was Joe Scarborough, who called Fox News coverage of the latest development in Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation into spygate “willfully stupid” and “deliberately lying” What did they do that was so stupid? They read John Durham’s latest legal motion that claimed the Hillary campaign paid it’s lawfirm to get information from servers at Trump Tower for the purpose of using it against Trump.
It is understandable that Joe would be upset at this coverage because it makes Hillary look bad. However, nothing that Fox News had said is wrong. A lawyer that worked for her campaign did work for a tech firm which was using it’s access to non public information to mine it for something they could bring to the authorities. This information claimed to show that Trump Tower servers had a secret connection to Russian based Alfa Bank, purportedly corroborating claims of Russia/Trump connections.
This lawyer was Michael Sussman and he in fact did work for Clinton and a tech firm and did indeed bring information to the FBI. How Scarborough could think that Fox News is stupid or lying for reporting this would be confusing but then Joe clears it up for us. At one point he says “It is so confounding and so hard to follow, this pleading, which is indecipherable unless you have an agenda…I remember when the initial story came out and I read through it and I was like, what? That’s why nobody paid attention to it the first time.”
So Joe admits that he is just too stupid to understand what Durham is claiming. But because he shills for MSNBC he must attack anything that threatens Democrats. Also he is wrong about nobody covered the Alfa Bank/Trump connection. Everbody covered it including Rachel Maddow on his own network. So not only is he stupid but he is a liar also. Funny how that works.
The claims made by Sussman and his partner turned out to be false. The Mueller Report doesn’t even mention it and a Senate report said the FBI concluded that it wasn’t a communications channel. While Joe might not like it, it’s clear that Trump was right: he was being spied on. Whether this spying was directed by the Clinton campaign or they were just the beneficiaries of it, we must get to the truth. Remember, Democracy Dies in Darkness.
